Mayor Gonzales spoke at the opening, "I am excited about
Stonegate Skate Park because it is the result of the hard work
of our young people to make our community better...and today
as a result of this teamwork between City Hall and our
neighborhood residents, we are opening the first
skatepark in San Jose.  Stonegate is the first, but there will
 be more skateparks coming soon to other neighborhoods."
