Mayor Ron Gonzales cuts the ribbon at the Betty Ann Gardens
Grand Opening on Thursday, September 4, 2003.  This is
an affordable housing community built by First Community
Housing.  There are 76 family units with one, two, three
and four bedroom plans.  The City of San Jose
helped fund this project with 6 million dollars.

A representative from Citibank gives a ten-thousand dollar
check to Tom Iamesi Director of Housing
Development from First Community Housing.

Mayor Gonzales spoke at the event, "Today we celebrate
part of the American Dream: homes that families can afford...
we are here because of our city's strong and continuing
commitment to build affordable homes for San Jose families."
