Mayor Gonzales joined San Jose Fire Fighters for a retirement dinner
at the Hayes Mansion on Saturday evening, October 4, 2003.
Mayor Gonzales thanked the retirees for their dedication to public
service and congratulated them on their retirement.  The Mayor
said "You have truly spend your lives protecting our great city
and our residents...I am continually grateful to you on behalf
of every San Jose resident, for your service, courage and commitment."
