Mayor Gonzales joined Rob Steinberg of the Steinberg Group, 
Councilmember Chavez  and other representatives from
 the Urban Land Institute on a tour of the Market House Lofts in
District 3, on Wednesday, October 29, 2003.  The Mayor spoke
to the group, "Welcome to San Jose!...I am very proud of what we
have done here for smart growth, affordable housing and meeting
the needs of families and our economy...just in the last several weeks
we have celebrated the groundbreakings and ribbon cuttings 
for nearly 1,300 homes, both market rate and below 
market and we have many winners as a result."
