Mayor Gonzales cuts the ribbon at the Grand Opening of the Mabuhay
Court Senior Apartments and the Northside Community Center on
Thursday, November 6, 2003.  The Mayor is joined by Assemblymember
Manny Diaz, Councilmembers Reed and Chavez as well as many others
to celebrate.  Mabuhay Court provides 96 affordable units and the 
new community center is more than five times larger than the center 
it replaced.  Mayor Gonzales spoke to the crowd, "Today we celebrate
part of the American Dream: homes that seniors can afford...We are
also celebrating a beautiful new community center that the senior
residents and surrounding communities both will enjoy."
