Mayor Gonzales is joined by Moreland School Principal Honey Berg,
Councilmember Linda LeZotte, School Superintendent Les Adelson
and other representatives at the Moreland Discovery School 
on November 5, 2003.  The school received the "2003 No Child Left 
Behind Blue Ribbon" school award.  The Blue Ribbon Schools 
Program recognizes schools that are meeting the mission 
"to ensure every child learns and no child is left behind." 
Mayor Gonzales spoke, "Your school is now considered a 
national model, Other schools across the country will be looking 
to you to learn and achieve like you do...This is truly an extraordinary accomplishment; I congratulate the teachers, administrators, 
parents and most importantly the students."
