Mayor Gonzales attended the grand opening of the Summer Breeze Family Housing project on Wednesday, October 20, 2004.  Summer Breeze is a 160 unit family housing development in San Jose's District 7.  This development offers residents access to downtown entertainment, retail and commercial businesses.

Mayor Gonzales spoke "San Jose has long been a leader in affordable housing.  We lead Silicon Valley and California cities in our commitment and our results...the most important reason is the people who benefit: the families and children who live in San Jose...I thank Robert Emami and all of our partners here today and look forward to working with you to ensure that our residents, families and children live in beautiful, quality and affordable homes in great San Jose neighborhoods."
