Mayor Gonzales cut the ribbon at Camille's Sidewalk Cafe on Monday, October 18, 2004.  The cafe is a rapidly growing national chain of "California" influenced sidewalk cafes.  The cafe operates for breakfast, lunch and dinner and will serve traditional delicatessen sandwiches, gourmet wraps, grilled Italian panini sandwiches, fresh salads and soups and more. This is the second restaurant in California.

Mayor Gonzales said, "It is great to be here at the Grand Opening of the first Camille's Sidewalk Cafe in San Jose...Camille's has an excellent reputation nationwide and we are so glad they have selected to open up on Blossom Hill Road...now we just need to get Camille's to downtown! I look forward to coming here in the future for a great sandwich. On behalf of the people of San Jose, welcome and good luck!"
