Mayor Gonzales joined JetBlue President and COO Dave Barger and others on Wednesday morning, June 9, for a breakfast kick-off meeting now that  San Jose has become the newest city to receive nonstop service to New York through the airline. JetBlue Airways began operations in February 2000 in New York and now serves 24 cities across the United States.

Mayor Gonzales said "...Tomorrow we will begin new air service between San Jose and New York with JetBlue's inaugural flight to JFK International.  This new service gives our resident more travel options and makes it easier for the world to visit us and do business with us."
