Mayor Gonzales joined Councilmember Ken Yeager at the Rosegarden branch library on Saturday, February 11, for their Grand Opening event. The facility is a 19,000 sq. ft., two-story library replacing the original 6,805 sq. ft. branch that first opened in 1960.  The original library had only 8 parking stalls.  This new library can accommodate 34 spaces onsite. This is the first Measure O funded branch library that has two stories.

They say you can't judge a book by its cover, but today, you can judge this wonderful library that way...it is beautiful!  The Rosegarden branch is the result of San Jose voters who enthusiastically told us in 2000 that our neighborhoods and residents need better parks and libraries. We listened and we delivered!"
