Mayor Gonzales joined over 150 volunteers at the Annual Anti-Graffiti
and Anti-Litter dinner which were combined this year.  The dinner was held
at Pallermo's Restaurant on Monday evening, December 15, 2003.
There were two award winners for the evening who received the
"Volunteer 2003 Award"; "Rescue" Ron Farrey and Marie Flores.
Mayor Gonzales spoke at the event,
"Because of both of these programs,
our children don’t have to walk past graffiti on their way to school.
Our neighbors aren’t kicking away litter in our parks.  Our community
is safer.  The care we put into our community shows.
Our success in
both the Litter and Graffiti programs could not have happened without you."
