Mayor Gonzales spoke at the Window on the River Park
Fundraiser on Wednesday evening, May 14, 2003

held at the River Park Towers in Downtown San Jose.

 

Mayor Gonzales said, "Guadalupe River Park preserves
an asset that is vital to the character, prosperity and
development of San Jose.  This is a rare opportunity
for an urban center to connect with nature."

told the guests, "San Jose is preserving the Guadalupe
River as a resource.  The Guadalupe project brings
together a unique combination of flood control,
environmental restoration and park improvements to
benefit the residents of the entire region, for the enjoyment
of today's residents and for future generations."
