Mayor Gonzales shakes hands with Kevin Francis, President
and CEO of Centerbeam, at their grand opening
event on Thursday, June 19, 2003.

Centerbeam moved from Santa Clara to San Jose
and their new facility is approximately 30,000 square feet.
Mayor Gonzales spoke at the event, "Welcome to San Jose!
We are proud to have your company in our city...you are
joining the world's best and brightest innovators in
the Capital of Silicon Valley.  I commit to you that we will
help your business grow and prosper in your new home."

The Mayor is joined by Councilmember Reed and Kevin Francis
as they present a welcoming commendation to Centerbeam.

The Mayor spoke to the crowd, "I don't know how many
of you saw the Business Week edition two weeks ago where
San Jose had a special section...it was the "Fast Growing
Companies" edition of Business Week. One of the major
themes is how San Jose "gets" what businesses need
to do business...I want to have a strong partnership
between the Cit of San Jose and Centerbeam.
