Welcome to State of the City 2003.  The event was held
on Wednesday evening, February 5, 2003, at the
Center for the Performing Arts in downtown San Jose.

The event began at 5:30 p.m., and people began gathering
outside of the CPA as early at 4:15.  The San Jose Police
Department's Horse Mounted Unit were on sight
to greet the guests as they arrived.

The clock ticks closer to 5:30, as thousands of people
are now finding their way into the CPA.
