Mayor Gonzales spoke at the 17th Annual Family
Foundation Conference at the Fairmont Hotel on Monday
morning, February 24.  The annual event is an opportunity
for family foundations to learn how to sustain their
philanthropic goals over generations."  This year's theme
is "Connection, Competence and Challenge".

Mayor Gonzales spoke at the conference saying,
"I am delighted that you selected San Jose to hold
this conference...strengthening the effectiveness of
family foundations will enhance the impact of your giving."

The Mayor also said, "We must work together,
business, non-profits, and foundations - to involve
community assets of all kinds to strengthen and
sustain our city and develop solutions that work."
