Mayor Gonzales spoke at the San Jose Silicon Valley
Chamber of Commerce Power Report on Thursday,
February 7, 2003, at the Fairmont Hotel.

The gavel was passed from current Board Chair
Phil Dirickson to the 2003 Board Chair Mike Fox, Jr.

The Mayor spoke at the event saying,
"Last night was my State of the City address,
and I will repeat this morning that the state of
San Jose is strong.  We are still a great place
to live a great place to do business."

The Mayor spoke to guests at the event

The Mayor speaks with Rick Callendar, President
of the San Jose Silicon Valley chapter of the NAACP. 
During the Mayor's speech he also said,
"...Although the City's budget crisis is looming,
seeing everyone in this room, I believe we are
strong today and will be stronger tomorrow. "
