Mayor Gonzales takes a photo at the Annual Tree Lighting
Ceremony that was held on Friday, December 6, 2002.
The Mayor was joined by San Jose Councilmembers
as well as local media.  The lighting of the
tree was televised on KNTV Channel 11.

The Mayor takes a photo with Robert Gelphman and family
at "Menorah in the Park" which was the first Menorah
sponsored at the Christmas in the Park celebration!!

filled with candy cane delights!! 

A photo of some of the crowd that waited as the tree
was about to light up the downtown sky.  The Mayor
spoke to the crowd of hundreds saying that the
tree lighting is an important tradition in San Jose
and he was very glad to be a part of it.

The little ones were up front bundled up and ready
to see the tree and begin their walk through
"Christmas in the Park"!!
