Mayor Gonzales visited the Resource Area for Teachers,
(RAFT) on Saturday, November 23, 2002. RAFT is a non-profit
organization that serves over 4,000 bay area teachers
providing them with hands-on interactive learning
materials and professional training workshops.

The Mayor said the City of San Jose is always trying to find ways
to help teachers so they can help kids succeed in school

Resource Area for Teachers (RAFT) provides thousands
of Bay Area teachers and community groups with a wide range
of interactive learning materials, enhancing math, science,
technology and art programs. Materials are surplus items
donated by over 1,000 local businesses and range
