Mayor Gonzales participated in Rebuilding Together -
Silicon Valley's annual rebuilding effort on Saturday, April 26.
The event is nationwide and will also be held on May 3.

This rebuilding event was established in 1991 and helps to
rehabilitate the houses of low-income homeowners,
so they may continue to live in comfort, safety and independence.

Time out...there are plenty of paint cans to go around!!

Clara county.  Since 1991, approximately 6,000 volunteers have
rehabilitated 200 homes and non-profit facilities with a total
value of more than $2.5 million dollars.  Most of the homes
renovated belong to ailing or disabled seniors with an average
household income of just over $1,500 dollars per month.

More volunteers!  Rebuilding Together Silicon Valley
expects to renovate 20 more homes or facilities this year.
